Optimism

Choose to be optimistic, it feels better.”  Dalai Lama XIV

It not only feels better to be optimistic, but your happiness quotient goes up too!

Defined as –  ‘ a tendency to expect the best possible outcome or dwell on the most hopeful aspects of a situation‘ – why would anyone choose the opposite?
What we focus on ‘in our minds’ expands and we tend to create our own outcomes from those thoughts. Living a ‘balanced life’ means choosing optimistic thoughts – no matter what situation you’re facing – no matter how negative it appears – or how scary, frustrating, or fruitless –  it seems.

Optimism can be learned – so don’t fret if you’re more of a pessimist at heart.  The book – ‘Learned Optimisim’ by Martin Seligman is an excellent read and will give you some great ideas to get started!

Practice by stating – Affirmatively and Positively – what you want to happen in any situation.  Then repeat it – over and over – until you believe it.  Fake it until you Make it!

Living from this ‘Heart-Centered’ place creates the balance and harmony we desire without the stress and negativity we don’t!

Tell us what you feel Optimisitic about?  Or – what kinds of pessimistic thoughts you want to replace!

Here’s to living a Heart-Centered Life!
