I just came back from a family camping trip up in Bolinas, CA on a working farm which is run by a USM grad called ‘Summer Camp for your Inner Child’.  It was the perfect place to reconnect with that child within that has become so stressed by daily life.

We slept outside in tents.  Ate our meals around a community table made from food grown on the farm.  Got to milk goats (well –  I just listened to the joy & laughter of those partaking).  Went on a breath-taking hike along the rugged coast of Northern California.  Swam in an ice-cold lake.  Roasted marshmallows around a fireplace and sang songs.

Watched as my daughter climbed a 75ft. tree and tied her bandana to the top branch.  Woo Hoo!!!

And, the most powerful part of all of it was circling up as a group and sharing our gratitude and intentions for our lives and those of our children.

Living a ‘Balanced Life’ means sometimes reconnectingto your own ‘inner-child’ and remembering that it’s never too late to be a kid again.

So, today – go climb a tree, fly a kite, swing on a tire, jump in a lake, catch fireflies (one of my absolute favorites – as long as you let them go) and just decide to be happy – for no other reason than that’s your natural state of childhood!

Tell us what your ‘inner-child’ likes to do!  We’d love to hear from you!

 Here’s to living a Heart-Centered Life!
